Welsh Assembly's £2m support for residents in broadband "not-spots"

Get your satellite broadband equipment and installation for free! The Welsh Assembly has announced a £2m broadband support scheme to bring broadband to Welsh “not-spots”.

Update: The Broadband Support Scheme in Wales is now underway. Please read our latest post to learn more.

We’re pleased to say that our service qualifies under this scheme and will be available to Welsh customers (subject to approval) in August. If you’re in Wales, you could claim the whole cost of your BeyonDSL broadband system; both equipment and the installation.

At the scheme launch, Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones explained:

"People will be able to make an application for the grant. That grant will be processed, an agreement will be made for somebody to make that connection for them. The cost will be paid for under the grant and of course people will then make their own arrangements with the provider."

If you’re a Welsh resident and would like to receive details and an application form, please contact us. As soon as it is available we will post the information to you along with details of our local Welsh dealers and installers.

Do not place an order until you have received the result of your application. This will be informed to you by the Welsh Assembly Government after the 1st of August.

Don’t delay – get your application in quickly as the scheme funding won’t last forever. Register now to be at the head of the queue for your satellite broadband!

If you would like more information please read the BBC's article on the announcement.
