How to get more than 4 TV feedsposted by InfoDesk BeyonDSL on 14 December 2011For more than 4 TV feeds, the usual unfiltered "octo LNB" should not be used. Here's how to get more feeds using the filtered Quad LNB and a distribution switch. The special Quad LNB supplied for adding TV services to your 23.5°E Broadband (TV Option) service has a filter in it. The point of this filter is to stop any interference which might leak from the transmit part of the broadband iLNB. Standard TV LNBs don't have this filter so there is a risk that you might get pixelation or other interference. If you need more than 4 TV feeds, there is a solution which lets you use one of the filtered Quad LNBs to produce 8 or even 12 feeds for your TV distribution network. The Optima range of IRS Multiswitches does exactly that. Information is here. We don't supply them but your installer will be able to get them from their Eurosat Branch. Please consult your local specialist installer for prices and details. |
